OpenCutoff ("the Service") is a free, student-oriented platform for browsing, exploring, and comparing historical MHT-CET engineering admission cutoff data. It is operated independently by Jay Shende.

By accessing or using OpenCutoff — including creating an account, signing in with email or Google, or browsing public pages — you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

Independent research tool

OpenCutoff is built for independent research and college-planning. It is not an official admissions portal, counselling system, or government service. Data presented here is compiled for educational and planning purposes only.

Non-affiliation

OpenCutoff is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with:

• Maharashtra State CET Cell
• Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra
• Any central or state government agency
• Any university, college, or CAP counselling authority

References to official CET resources (for example the State CET Cell website) are provided only as external references so you can verify information. They do not imply affiliation or endorsement.

Verify with official sources

Cutoff ranks, percentiles, college codes, branch information, and related analysis on OpenCutoff are for planning only. They may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect.

Before relying on any figure for CAP choices, preference lists, or admission decisions, you must confirm the latest information with official CET cell and admission announcements. OpenCutoff does not replace official notifications, allotment letters, or institutional communications.

Free forever

OpenCutoff is provided free of charge. There is no paywall, subscription, premium tier, or fee to access core browsing, explore, compare, watchlist, or account features described on the site. We may change features over time, but we will not charge users for the free-forever promise of the core platform.

As-is data and limitation of liability

The Service and all data are provided as is, without warranties of any kind — express or implied — including accuracy, completeness, timeliness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenCutoff and its operator are not liable for any loss, damage, or decision arising from use of the Service or reliance on cutoff data, including missed admissions opportunities or incorrect preferences.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape, bulk-download, or abuse the Service in ways that degrade availability for others
• Misrepresent OpenCutoff data as official CET cell, DTE, or government figures
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or circumvent security or access controls
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to harass others

We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe these terms are being violated.

Accounts

You are responsible for credentials and activity under your account (email/password or Google OAuth). Provide accurate registration details and keep your login secure.

Changes

We may update these Terms by revising this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
